A reverse concrete block veneer wall is used downstairs with aluminium and rendered finish external claddings. The courtyard walls comprise locally sourced stonework and concrete block rendered walls. The ground floor slab is geo-thermally heated with a concrete polishing finish applied. The design intent was to maximise passive solar access while capturing the lake views. Internally the finishes and fittings were selected to provide a high quality look that is understated. A domestic scale lift was utilised internally to access the bedrooms.
The scope of works for the construction of a new 123-bed Aged Care Facility on a green filled site included a ground slab, a suspended slab, timber framing and brick veneer, rendered walls, feature stone cladding, timber arbours, a BBQ pavilion, street works, car parks and landscaping. The east end and middle section of the building is single-storey with the west end of the building being 2-storey with a plant room and undercroft at basement level. In ground precast piling with concrete columns have been constructed to support the ground floor suspended slab. Sustainability and innovation were an important part of this design, with many factors being considered to ensure a balance between interior and exterior spaces. This project entailed the demolition of previous renovations and the extension and renovation of the 1911 Victorian home in order to cater for the growing needs of a young, modern family. The construct included the addition of a large family/entertaining and sunroom with a north-easterly aspect, a modern kitchen area with butler's pantry, laundry, powder room, office, fourth bedroom and a new master suite with ensuite and walk-in robe. All materials and work were conducted in such a way as to maintain the aesthetics of the original home.

The home’s state-of-the-art design, construction and fit-out combine to keep the home beautifully comfortable in all weather conditions, while reducing annual running costs. The ground floor consists of a large, north-facing living zone and kitchen that opens onto a wide deck with views of the garden. There are three bedrooms, a study and a large pantry. Rooms and windows have been situated to capture both prevailing sea breezes and wonderful views of Bass Strait.
The scope of works of this project entailed the design and construction of a multipurpose pavilion with good access and views towards the existing courts and children’s play ground. The south side of the building required gallery space facing the tennis courts used for viewing and administration of the tennis games, while the netball office needed to be accessible from the courts for administration on game days. Change rooms and accessible toilets are shared by user groups with a separate facility provided for game-day umpires. Additional change facilities are provided with external access only for time when the facility is not completely open. A kitchen is central to the multipurpose space with a servery window on the north side of the building with suitable un-encumbered roof coverage.
The works on this project consisted the construction of two new tennis show courts to Tennis Australia standards, and finished with a Plexi Cushion surface. Tiered pre-cast concrete seating with one side also including a ramped walkway and rolled Danpolon roofing are on two sides of the courts. Major lighting was incorporated into the project including new LED court lights, LED strip lights under the tiered seating, uplights to the rolled roof along with new lighting to the surrounding car park. A large deck was also built on the north side of the courts including a glass balustrade enabling for a closer viewing spectacle.
In addition to the construction of this new 1400-square-metre childcare building with external play areas, landscaping and an entry road with car parking, the scope of works on this project included the redirection of an overhead power line, lengthy negotiations with the gas authority with regard to underground natural gas and the use of long screw piles as the new building was positioned directly over an old rail cutting. It also required the demolition of two existing houses as well as the blending of three titles and two portions of road reserve into a single title.
