Key Responsibilities:

Manual Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and moving materials, equipment, and products.

Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Assist in maintaining tools and equipment.

Assistance to Skilled Workers: Collaborate with skilled workers and tradespeople to support them in completing tasks efficiently and accurately.

Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and other vehicles. Follow proper lifting and handling procedures.

Construction Support: Assist in construction projects by providing additional manpower, helping with basic carpentry tasks, and other duties as required.

Adherence to Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals. Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.

Qualifications: :

-Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks.

:-Strong work ethic and reliability.

:-Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in construction and maintenance.

:-Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

:-This position involves physical labor and may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.

:-May involve lifting heavy objects and operating basic tools and equipment.

The start of each day will be at our Scoresby warehouse.

Our business is looking for an intuitive, motivated and self sufficient 2nd - 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter wanting to further their craft in high end inner city south east residential & small commercial construction.

Pre-requisites:

Car and basic tools

Completion of secondary education.

Preferred but not essential:

Completion of at least a Cert II in Carpentry/Pre-apprenticeship

At least 6mths field experience with a carpentry team or builder

Working with Childrens' Certificate

You'd be working with accomplished carpenters and leading hands with a focus on detail and rational approach to problem solving.

Further mentoring, upskilling and safety training can also be provided for the right candidate.
