The Foundation aims to help a diverse range of people from within our industry, from those looking to start an apprenticeship, to those looking to advance their career and to those who look to lead and innovate.

Ken is a third year apprentice with aspirations of becoming a construction manager or registered builder. Prior to entering the industry he spent nine years working in sales and retail, latterly in a management role. After careful consideration and conversations with mentors, family and friends in the industry he made the choice to pursue a career in building and construction through carpentry as it combines his passion for design, problem solving and working with his hands.

With a young family to support, the support of the Foundation is very important to Ken in order to accelerate his career by completing both a Diploma of Building and Construction and a Diploma of Project Management and having access to a highly regarded mentor in the industry.
