Have you ever wished your staff could get one-on-one support throughout their training? Wouldn’t it be great if they could have a training plan perfectly suited to their strengths, weaknesses and qualifications?
The new Master Builders training application and enrolment process, including eligibility screening for the Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG) means that individuals will benefit from the ongoing support of a dedicated training mentor. This mentor will assist them with the rigors of undertaking an accelerated course meaning that when they get to class, they can begin training straight away instead of spending valuable class time filling out registration forms.
“The VTG allows us to not only offer –substantial discounts on nationally recognised courses but also provides for a more tailored and supportive approach,” Master Builders Training Manager, Julie-Anne Sheppard said.
The enrolment process will be changing to reflect this new and improved support. Members will be directed to the application form link and sent course information sheets through email and through the Master Builders website.
Students will be asked to fill out the detailed application form and undertake a language, literacy and numeracy questionnaire before they are enrolled into a class. A training mentor will assess the application and devise an individual training plan for the student. The next step is for Master Builders staff to meet face-to-face with students and assess their learning capabilities.
“The initial interviews help us to assess what type of training will best suit your staff so that they get the most out of their studies,” Julie-Anne said.
“This is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach because we recognise that everyone learns differently and is starting from a different base.
“Furthermore, we appreciate that tradespeople and construction professionals are time poor so we want to accelerate their learning where we can. This means you and your staff can get on with the business of learning.”
Other business benefits of accessing the VTG will be the ability to tailor employee outcomes to suit your company’s strategic objectives.
“We can help you boost the capacity of your workforce with value for money, individually tailored course structures.”
Another bonus of the VTG funding is that it is uncapped, meaning there is no limit to the number of students you can enrol.
“Companies can enrol groups of staff that they think will benefit from increased qualifications, meaning better outcomes for the company and the industry as a whole,” Julie-Anne said.
