The Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption on 28 October 2014 published responses to a range of issues papers relating to the governance, financial management and operation of trade unions and associated relevant entities. The Commission sought comment from community and professional organisations, interested individuals and academics on four key issues that fall under its Terms of Reference.

The Commission received 24 submissions from registered organisations, including Master Builders Australia and Slater and Gordon on behalf of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU). All policy submissions made in response to the issues papers have been publicly released and are available on the Commission’s website.
