In its latest update, Infrastructure Australia provided a review of 2018 and the planned national infrastructure projects and initiatives for the year, including the addition of nine new projects to the Infrastructure Priority List. The North East Link and the Monash Freeway Upgrade Stage 2 are examples of such new projects for Victoria and are included in the 2018 list.
The following are proposed projects and initiatives listed for Victoria in the Infrastructure Priority List to date that is set for completion within the next 15 years:

Additionally, Infrastructure Australia has also released their latest report: Planning Liveable Cities: A place-based approach to sequencing infrastructure and growth. The report recommends a more strategic approach to city planning and for greater focus on community-based outcomes. Of particular note is the report’s emphasis on density as a necessity for liveability in the capital cities. Master Builders considers that the Victorian Government should heed the report’s simple but clear message to get planning right in the New Year to incentivise the development of more density-friendly dwelling types to accommodate Victoria’s population growth.
