In May, Master Builders Association Insurance Services (MBAIS) advised that the VMIA would be introducing some changes to Victorian domestic building insurance.

As of 1 July, these changes took effect.

These changes include:

• New event allowing claims for policies issued after 1 July 2015
• Online search for eligible builders
• Property search request
