This is an urgent reminder to members that registered building practitioners are now subject to the requirement of re-registering every five years. The first re-registrations will be due from 1 July 2017.

We have learned from the VBA that a significant number of building practitioners whose registrations are due have not yet applied to re-register. Be aware that if you fail to re-register before your designated date, your registration will automatically expire and you will no longer be registered.

If your registration expires in July or August 2017 you should be completing and lodging your application for renewal of registration as soon as possible.
