Following the resignation of Australian Building and Construction Commissioner, Mr Nigel Hadgkiss APM, Master Builders recognises his important role over many years in combating the thuggery and unlawful conduct of the building unions, particularly the CFMEU, including in his previous roles as Director of Building Industry Taskforce, Director of Victorian Construction Code Compliance and Director of Fair Work Building and Construction.

The recently announced record penalties imposed by the Federal Court on the CFMEU over its conduct and that of its officials highlight both the substance of Mr Hadgkiss’s work to change the union’s entrenched culture of unlawfulness in the interests of the Australian community, and the need for this important work to continue under his successor.
