Stage three restrictions remain in place for regional Victoria after having taken effect as of 5 August at 11.59 pm.
There are only four reasons to leave the home: shopping for food and essentials, care and caregiving, exercise, and work and study—only if it cannot be accomplished at home.
Masks remain mandatory whenever leaving the home except in circumstances in which it is not feasible. The rule of logic prevails—masks should be worn whenever possible. Building and construction sites are required to maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres among workers.
Retail establishments—including display homes not intended for sale or eventual occupancy-- are permitted to continue trading as long as they follow the people-per-square-metre rule. Display homes and real estate inspections are permitted by appointment only. Auctions are online only.
Clients are still permitted to attend private appointments to view display homes and to meet with builders and consultants to make decisions, such as colours and fit-out details.
