On Monday, 28 September, metro Melbourne is due to progress to the Restricted stage of the COVID-19 Roadmap.  This is subject to announcements expected to be made by the Premier tomorrow, Sunday 27 September 2020.

The easing of restrictions in the building and construction industry will be a direct result of our sector following the rules and the collaborative, proactive efforts across employer associations and unions.  On behalf of our members, Master Builders Victoria is proud to continue to play a lead role in this effort.

We do, however, need to remain highly vigilant in the enforcement and monitoring of the rules. To assist our industry, we have worked with other employer associations and unions to create a series of posters in 16 languages to ensure that rules are available to all, regardless of language. They will be updated weekly to reflect the changing nature of COVID-19.

We appreciate your efforts to keep sites safe and open and we now seek your help and action again.

  1. Download the COVIDSafe material and display it at all your active worksites now. Make it extremely visible.
  2. Prepare to get the resources into your display homes, sales offices and suites as soon as they can reopen. Have your resource kit ready to install and implement straight away!
  3. Tell your mates! Spread the word! Share and lead the way in our industry – encourage everyone you know in our sector to download the COVIDSafe material and do steps 1. and 2. straight up!
  4. Take photos and short videos of the COVIDSafe resources in place. Post them with the tag #VicCOVIDSafesite and #masterbuilders so that we can share the posts, and email the content to us so that we can share it with government and industry.
