October is shaping up as another busy month of media activity at Master Builders Victoria (MBV) following a hectic September.
Lockdowns, shutdowns, smoko ban protests, riots, and mandatory vaccinations – there was never a dull moment for MBV.
MBV featured in several TV and radio appearances in recent days including on ABC TV, ABC Radio, Australia Today with Steve Price, 7 News, 9 News and Sky News as building and construction ramped back into action this week.
MBV has repeatedly called on the Victorian Government to hold rule-breakers in building and construction to account as our industry reopens after a two-week shutdown and to close individual sites, not our whole industry.
MBV has also stressed strongly to media that the past two-week shutdown has been extremely challenging for many of our members unable to work – including our renovation sector members who have not been permitted to work inside occupied premises for many, many weeks now.
Other stories making news this month include Geelong construction workers being jabbed on the job (Geelong Advertiser) while the Herald Sun have covered several stories off the back of MBV's successful Supply Chain Webinar last month.
The Age and the Australian Financial Review’s first port of call when seeking feedback to our industry’s re-opening was also to MBV.
Our Regional Residential Builder of the Year Awards also gained good publicity in the Geelong Advertiser, Border Mail, Shepparton News and Warrnambool Standard.
