Master Builders has welcomed news that the Andrews Government is fast-tracking $40 million to establish the Melbourne Metro Rail Authority for commencement of work on two underground rail tunnels to improve Melbourne’s public transport system.
The improvements were said to represent one of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects and the creation of 3500 jobs at peak construction of the pair of nine-kilometre tunnels.
