A stunning resort-style Traralgon home and the Yarram and District Health Service's Integrated Healthcare Centre received top honours at the 2022 South East Master Builders Victoria Regional Building Awards tonight.
Virtue Homes was named South East Residential Regional Builder of the Year for the breathtaking home with a swimming pool in Traralgon.
Meanwhile, TS Constructions Pty Ltd was named South East Commercial Regional Builder of the Year for the Yarram Integrated Healthcare Centre development.
Master Builders Victoria (MBV) Director Corrie Williams addressed 170 guests before presenting the major awards for South East Residential Regional Builder of the Year and South East Commercial Regional Builder of the Year at the Traralgon Vineyard.
MBV CEO Rebecca Casson congratulated Virtue Homes and TS Constructions Pty Ltd on their success.
Ms Casson said Virtue Homes was involved with their client from start to finish of the Traralgon project.
"The vision was to create a home with unique street appeal different to other homes in the street that would stand the test of time," Ms Casson said.
"Virtue Homes have certainly achieved that.
"The home features large glass windows to bring the outside in, focusing on the pool and beautifully designed landscape areas.
"The term 'resort feel' was quoted many times by the client in the design process, so the home needed to connect all areas of the house - from the main living, outdoor living and pool area - and have a fully functional kitchen area."
Ms Casson said the home had several high-end features showcased throughout the build.
"Statement feature pieces are incorporated into each main room," she said.
"A combination of high-quality products has been used to complement every aspect of the front facade, such as hardwood timber battens, feature bricks and butt glass windows across the two front rooms.
"The home features soaring 3.3m high ceilings, a timber feature wall separating the entry hallway, and a gorgeous high-end kitchen and butler's pantry.
"The main bedroom has a luxurious feel with feature timber lining to the bedhead and a hidden walk-in wardrobe."
Virtue Homes will compete in the Victorian Excellence in Housing Awards on October 14 at The Palladium at Crown in Melbourne.
Meanwhile, Ms Casson said Commercial Regional Builder of the Year TS Constructions had a strong reputation for delivering high-quality medical facilities while working within the constraints of an operational hospital.
"Consistency in construction methodologies and careful management of finishing trades ensured a stylish finish with robust materials that will cope with years of patient care," she said.
"The systems implemented during all aspects of the project ensured the highest possible standards as this facility will encounter heavy traffic and constant usage.
"TS Constructions ensured that every aspect of the build was first class, met or exceeded the stakeholders' expectations, and will be usable and durable for a long time."
Ms Casson said works consisted of demolishing the existing consultation and day procedure room and constructing a new integrated health care building as an extension of the existing hospital.
"The new building consisted of a waiting/reception room, open staff office, boardroom, consultation room, and new day procedure rooms and recovery," she said.
"The new building has several unique features including curved plaster and timber-lined ceilings and eaves, and a front façade boasting curves clad with VM Zinc vertical metal panels."
TS Constructions will compete in the Victorian Excellence in Construction Awards on August 12 at The Palladium at Crown.
