Master Builders Victoria welcomes the interim report handed down today by former Department of Justice secretary Greg Wilson.

While this interim report is a start, Mr Wilson has a difficult task and short timeframe to provide meaningful recommendations to the Victorian Government in his final report.

We hope through Mr Wilson’s final report, the Victorian Government will have a better idea of the various ways it can address underlying issues within parts of our sector.

Some of the matters impacting the Victorian Construction industry do sit in the federal jurisdiction.

However, the Victorian Government can take real and important steps that help tackle alleged criminal and unlawful conduct here in Victoria.
