Master Builders Victoria (MBV) is delighted to be named Victoria's Small Training Provider of the Year in the 2022 Victorian Training Awards.
The awards recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations in the Victorian TAFE and training sector.
MBV provides industry-leading training to ensure the pipeline of building and construction workers is equipped with the necessary skills to succeed.
MBV CEO Rebecca Casson said this latest recognition of the organisation's training as one of the best in Victoria was a welcome and fitting tribute to the hard work of MBV's dedicated award-winning team.
Ms Casson said the specialised MBV training team took great pride in its ability to support students throughout their learning journey.
"MBV interviews each student to ensure that our courses are an appropriate fit. We also connect with students throughout the courses to get feedback about course materials, delivery, or assessments," she said.
"Our builders' registration programs and our immersive simulation centre provide valuable practice opportunities for participants seeking to take the next step in their careers.
"Winning this award recognises our team's hard work in providing quality training to our students to future-proof the building and construction industry."
Ms Casson said MBV's ability to deliver agile, specialised, and bespoke programs - including those offered through its award-winning Building Leadership Simulation Centre in South Melbourne - gave it a competitive edge over other training providers.
"At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we re-designed our immersive learning experiences into virtual learning experiences using remote learning technologies in innovative and engaging ways," she said.
"We also undertook extensive industry consultation to ensure our courses in the building and construction sector met our student's needs.
"This award also complements being recognised in 2021 as outranking the average outcomes for other private training providers, with 95.7 per cent of MBV students saying they were satisfied with the overall quality of their training.
"As the leading voice for building and construction in Victoria, MBV will continue to deliver valuable training to support the development of a future-ready industry that builds a better world."
Celebrating its 68th year, the prestigious Victorian Training Awards bring together apprentices, trainees, students, teachers, training providers, employers, and industry representatives.
All participants share the goal of achieving a high-quality training system that meets the needs of all Victorians.
Winners were announced at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre at a gala event last night.
All winners received $5,000 prize money and now get the chance to represent Victoria at the national Australian Training Awards.
