MDC Building Group from Leongatha took out the title of 2024 MBV Regional Residential Builder of the Year, East for the beautifully crafted, multi-zoned home at Wooreen which is designed to take full advantage of stunning valley views and cleverly crafted distinctive areas for both parents and children.

While BFN Developments from Traralgon was awarded the title of 2024 MBV Regional Commercial Builder of the Year, East for the quality construction of the flagship project which features a complex combination of integrated learning and performance spaces with distinct audio and spatial requirements.

The two top awards were among 18 awards for display homes, custom homes, commercial buildings, and renovations announced at a gala dinner on Friday, June 21 at the Lardner Park Events Centre in Lardner, in front of a record-breaking crowd of 180 guests.

Master Builders Victoria CEO, Michaela Lihou congratulated the major winners on their outstanding successes, saying they showcased the very best of the Victorian building industry.

“Despite some of the challenges that continue to confront our industry, it is fantastic to celebrate the talent, the passion and the stunning work that our members continue to deliver with these outstanding projects right across Victoria,” she said.

“Our warmest congratulations to all our winners and finalists, especially to the teams from MDC Building Group and BFN Developments.”

MDC Building Group will now go on to complete on behalf of the Eastern Region at this year’s MBV Excellence in Housing Awards, being held at Palladium Crown, on Friday October 11.

While BFN Developments will compete on behalf of the Eastern Region at this year’s MBV Excellence in Construction Awards, being held at Palladium Crown, on Friday August 9.
