Master Builders notifies members of changes to the Victorian Industry Participation Policy (VIPP). Key reforms include the introduction of a formal 10 per cent local content weighting as part of tender evaluation, strengthening compliance through introducing random industry audits, enhanced industry and agency engagement initiatives and streamlining VIPP paperwork. Key changes are outlined in the VIPP fact sheet here. The reforms become operational 1 September 2016.

In February 2016, the government released the first Forward Plan of VIPP Strategic Projects. The Forward Plan is released on the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) and the ICN websites every six months, or as required.
