Master Builders looks forward to the delivery and completion of the proposed projects and initiatives that would further the provision of needed public infrastructure for Victoria. Master Builders will continue to monitor the course of development of these projects in 2019 and onwards.

Additionally, Infrastructure Australia has also released their latest report: Planning Liveable Cities: A place-based approach to sequencing infrastructure and growth. The report recommends a more strategic approach to city planning and for greater focus on community-based outcomes. Of particular note is the report’s emphasis on density as a necessity for liveability in the capital cities. Master Builders considers that the Victorian Government should heed the report’s simple but clear message to get planning right in the New Year to incentivise the development of more density-friendly dwelling types to accommodate Victoria’s population growth.
