Last night, Master Builders Victoria CEO Rebecca Casson was a co-signatory with the UDIA (Victoria) and the Property Council of Australia (Victoria) on a letter to the Premier, calling for restrictions to be lifted on display homes, land sales offices, sales suites and other real estate services in metropolitan Melbourne.
Under the Government’s roadmap, these activities will not be eased in a workable fashion until at least October 26. The letter makes the case for these changes to be moved into line with the ‘Restricted’ stage currently scheduled for 28 September 2020.
The letter explains the economic dangers of not acting on this, with a potential nonexistent pipeline for six months unless opened earlier before the quiet December and January months.
