The Victorian Government today announced a hard closure of its borders to South Australia for 48 hours from 11:59pm tonight (19 November 2020).
There will be some exceptions for freight, medical and compassionate reasons.
For the next 48 hours this will affect workers in our industry who regularly cross the SA/Victorian border for work.
After this initial 48-hour hard closure, a worker permit system will be instituted from 11:59pm, Saturday, 21 November 2020. Information on who is eligible and how to apply for a permit will follow over the next 48 hours and will be sent to members when available.
