The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave is bringing a new and exciting challenge to the building and construction industry in Victoria in their fight against blood cancer.

The ‘Tradie Challenge’ is open to anyone in the industry who is willing to shave, colour or wax between 12 and 15 March 2015 to raise money for life-saving research and for the Leukaemia Foundation’s continuing support of Australian families.

This is a friendly competition among trades, sites and companies and the Leukaemia Foundation is even giving out awards to Victoria’s top tradies across a number of different industries.

This year, Chantelle Ford and Steve O’Donnell, the winning duo from season eight of Nine Network’s The Block renovation show will be leading the charge by colouring, waxing or shaving their own hair as they encourage others in the building industry to join them in changing the lives of Australians grappling with blood cancer.

Taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave is a rewarding experience for everyone involved – from the customers, clients and suppliers who support you to your colleagues who reap the remarkable benefits of enhanced teamwork and staff morale. It also creates fantastic photo opportunities to include in newsletters and on your website and social media channels.

The Leukaemia Foundation receives no ongoing government funding, instead relying on the generosity of the community and builders like you to fund its Vision to Cure and Mission to Care.

Today, 31 Australians will be given the devastating news that they have leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma. World’s Greatest Shave is your chance to help them by raising funds vital to the Leukaemia Foundation’s crucial work. The sooner you get involved, the more money you can raise.
