Apprentices are the future of our industry but sadly, only about 50 per cent will complete their apprenticeship. Master Builders is committed to improving this statistic, but we need your help.
If you currently employee apprentices, or have done in the recent past, we want to hear from you.
Thanks to State Government funding we are launching an 18 month Apprenticeships and Traineeships Completions Pilot Project. In the first instance we are asking employers for input and will be conducting site visits. You may also be invited to join in brief focus groups and discussions.
Funded through the Department of Education and Training, the pilot project will focus on employers working with apprentices, with the aim of revealing factors that influence apprenticeship completion rates. Master Builders recognises that each year brings with it new challenges in not only finding a committed apprentice, but also keeping them engaged and wanting to complete their apprenticeship.
Outcomes of this pilot project will be incredibly important to first time employers and those with existing apprentices.
Master Builders prioritises increasing apprenticeship completion rates as vital to ensuring the supply of skilled workers to our industry. We greatly value your time and contribution.
