Updates to the builder registration system were launched today by the VBA.

The VBA has advised that their aim is to provide greater clarity, consistency and transparency around the application and assessment process.

At this stage the updates to builder registration affect only those applying for Domestic Builder and Demolisher classes.  New material for further classes will be progressively introduced after February 1.

The VBA has released information about these updates  plus new forms and templates to be completed as part of the application submission.

Registration applications that were received by the VBA before February 1 will be processed in accordance with the previous system.  The VBA understands that prospective builders and demolishers may be already well advanced with the preparation of their submission, so will continue to accept applications prepared under the previous system until 30 June 2016.

Master Builders will continue to support its members with expert advice throughout these updates to builder registration.
