Following a ministerial re-shuffle late last year, Senator Michaelia Cash will now head a new super ministry known as Jobs and Innovation. The new portfolio encompasses the areas previously covered by the Department of Employment and the Department of Innovation.

Minister Craig Laundy and Senator Zed Seselja will report to Senator Cash and assist with the portfolio. Minister Laundy becomes Minister for Small and Family Business, the Workplace and Deregulation and will look after small business, red tape, workplace relations and work health and safety. Senator Seselja is now Assistant Minister for Science, Jobs and Innovation.
