Today, Master Builders Victoria collaborated with other employer associations and unions to co-sign a letter to the Victorian Premier Dan Andrews outlining the steps taken in the building, construction and development industry that have kept it safe.

It also highlighted the minimal COVID-19 transmission rates in our industry due to these safety measures. 

Given this, and the importance of our industry to the Victorian economy, the letter also confirms the ability of our industry to return as soon as possible to how it was operating under Stage 3 restrictions.

The letter also outlines potential interim steps that, subject to the public health data, could be taken in the coming weeks to move our industry back to full capacity.  Please note that these are possible options put forward to the Government for discussion, so we do need to collectively manage our expectations on what sort of response we will get and be aware that these are not rules or directives.

The path that is proposed by the collective employer associations and unions incorporates feedback from our members, and we will update you further when more information is available.
