Safe Tech Hardware Australia Pty Ltd has voluntarily recalled a number of their swimming pool latches.

This was initiated after investigations were carried out which determined that some of their products were considered non-compliant with the Australian Standard AS 1926.1.

The product models that have been recalled are:

• SafeTech Top Pull Pool Gate Latch (Key-lockable)
• G8Safe Top Pull Pool Gate Latch (Key-lockable)
• SafeTech TriLatch (Key-lockable)
• G8Safe TriLatch (Key-lockable)

These products are also available for purchase as part of the following kits:

• SafeTech Trade Packs (Key-lockable)
• G8Safe Megapack (Key-lockable)

Master Builders advises that this is a serious safety matter that should be considered by all members where these products have been used as part of a pool or spa safety barrier.
