Imriyas Karmadeen, Professor of Construction Management in the School of Architecture and Built Environment at Deakin University, is conducting a research study into the prevalence of work-stress-induced chronic diseases among construction industry professionals in Australia.

The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and asks questions on the following:

• Respondent’s occupation and demographic details (anonymous)
• Job stressors experienced
• Feelings of chronic job stress and burnout experiences
• Adverse effects of job stress/burnout on physical health and sleep
• Individual and organisational stress management strategies adopted
• Adverse effects of job stress induced health problems on your overall job performance

The survey does not collect any details about the employee or the employer and collects only employees’ perceptions on the matters. The questions are optional to complete, and the answers will neither be shared nor reported publicly in a way that would identify the respondents. Only aggregated research findings will be published in journals and/or in a book and no individual responses or participant details will be enclosed. Interested institutions/participants may request copies of the publications when they become available.
