The Department of Health has advised that Vaccination Booster shots are now available. Booster doses are recommended 5 months after the second vaccine dose. 

Key points to note include:

• The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) have approved the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5-11 years old
• Omicron is being closely monitored by ATAGI to understand its epidemiology
• Under the ‘at-home vaccination program’, first and second-dose vaccinations are available to be delivered at home. However, this service is not currently available for vaccine booster doses.
