The master bedroom is away from the living spaces and provides a private sanctuary, which includes the beautiful ensuite making the most of the views from the bath. The study is located on the bottom floor which offers a quiet private space.
With a brief to create an enjoyable, open-plan, family home for generations to come, this award-winning renovation was delivered to the highest quality standard. The project sits comfortably in its surrounds having used several natural materials, such as rammed-earth timber and travertine pavers. The extension included a main bedroom and ensuite, sitting room, kitchen, dining room, living room, alfresco entertaining area and pool. The existing house also underwent an extensive facelift, with the surrounding verandas and all concrete being replaced. The original living room was transformed into a bathroom and laundry.
A fresh, new display home offering a point of difference through clever space-saving design, and smart-home technology for modern family living. The home features an electronic home-entry system, flexible automated lighting and the safety of digital, smart technology smoke and gas emission detectors. The internal design makes the most of the floor area, with a fixed-glass window to the IT station creating a connection from the back of the home to the main living area, making the home feel larger and more connected. The benefit of a third-car garage allowing access through to the rear yard adds to the already generous storage space within the home.
The ‘Alkira’ is nestled in the vibrant estate of Whitebox Rise. Designed specifically for the northeast region, key features focus on floorplan flexibility, climate suitability and elements of ch’i design, including abundant light, unobstructed vision and flowing layout. The home skilfully demonstrates flexibility and suitability as it sits just as cohesively on an urban block as it does in a lifestyle block or rural homestead. Strong design focus was placed on internal temperature stability to maximise occupant comfort levels. Passive design elements were also key with orientation, sweeping verandahs, ventilation and insulation-important inclusions.
Offering appeal from the street with its render- and-timber finish, this four-bedroom home reveals a high level of consistent, quality craftsmanship. The topography of the block allowed for a split-level design and use of varied ceiling heights, giving the home an element of creativity. Offering practical and functional inclusions, the home was designed to accommodate grown-up family and partners, with specific areas created to be closed off into fully self-contained living quarters. The large glass atrium area forms the walls to the living area and frames the outdoor entertaining space, an eye-catching garden feature. The home incorporates maximum use of space with clever design features such as towel rails forming handles on drawers, mirrors masking secret cupboards, floor heating in wet areas, and a bathroom with dual vanity dividing it into two separate spaces.
Modern, simple, with clean lines and large, open, living areas for family was the brief for this award-winning home. Featuring full-height windows and corner sliding doors, it makes the most of its natural bushland setting and offers seamless indoor/outdoor spaces. The kitchen boasts an integrated design with no handles or power points and automated cupboards and drawers. The bathrooms have been cleverly designed as wet rooms with floor to ceiling tiles and underfloor heating eliminate the need for any glass shower screens. The home is connected by burnished concrete floors, with the floor colour flowing outdoors to the painted Hardie deck in the alfresco area. Bluestone, laser-patterned pavers around the tiled pool are a design highlight.
This outstanding home reflects a design inspired by high-class living and superiority in architectural features. The elegantly proportioned layout offers fantastic outdoor entertaining allowing for easy transition into indoor/outdoor living. The home includes four spacious bedrooms, master suite including wall-to-wall joinery and a spectacular light-filled ensuite. These two townhouses have exceeded the expectations of the clients, and the project was completed to the highest of standards. Offering quality fittings and fixtures throughout, the designs include off-street parking, private balconies with views over sporting fields, three generous bedrooms and an open-living kitchen and dining space connected with outdoor entertaining. The beautiful staircase is a showpiece in each of the homes and a testament to the quality of workmanship. The design had to be easy to maintain with minimal landscaping required.
Offering a façade of black ash bricks, hardwood timber inserts, spotted-gum cladding and Scyon matrix, these four townhouses make a contemporary statement from the street. The interior was designed to maximise the narrow, deep block resulting in a light-filled central open plan living area with a northerly aspect. A functional kitchen featuring Caesarstone "raw concrete" benchtops adjoins the large dining and living areas opening to an alfresco entertaining area through large sliding doors. These overlook the private garden. Beyond the living area is the master suite with wall- to-wall robe and spacious ensuite, along with a large laundry area offering plenty of storage, and a garage.
The high level of finish, thermal performance and expected longevity of this house not only represents exceptional value, but also highlights its sustainability credentials. Large double-glazed windows are positioned on the north façade with minimal windows on all other sides. The house has no air conditioning, nor will it need it given these basic design principles, and the amount of insulation used. The home is heated by hydronic wall panels, fired by an electric boiler and offset by a large solar PV system. The hot water is also solar/electric-boosted. The windows and doors are custom-made and double-glazed. There are north, east and west-facing outdoor living areas, making this home a pleasure to live in year- round.
